Wild Garter Snake Eating Toad
Just thought I'd share my dad emailed me this picture from our back yard in southern Ontario. Does any one know what it is.

That is a Thamnophis Sirtalis Sirtalis, a High red Eastern Garter snake, often called "Flame Garter" snake.

the infernalis and SF garter have really nice reds and blues also, i like them.

California Red sided garter snake (Infernalis)
Mid west red sided garter snake
Eastern Red Garter Snake (Canadian Bloodlines)
Red Eastern Garter Myrtle Beach bloodlines....

I have witnessed this more than once, the snake will push that air out, the last thing that toad will ever do... exhale that last breath.
