Got my first good bite

....but not by one of the snakes them selves. I was building a new rack to upgrade the living space of my 2010's with Hubby and he stood up drill in hand as I bent over and BAM, drill to the face! We are the clumsiest people, and should not weild power tools, this could have ended a lot worse! lol!

Re: Got my first good bite

when i was in the airport YEARS ago leaving thailand, i decided it would be a good idea to run up the down escalator. i learned my lesson. my shoe lace caught a step and i JAMMED my knee into the spikes on the front of the escalator steps. it looked like an X just like that phillips lol. i still have a small dent in my knee to this day. it left me half immobolized for like multiple days. (not to mention the 14 hour flight with a dead leg crammed into little airplane seats was the WORST lol)

Re: Got my first good bite

When I was very young I decided drilling into a piece of wood that was on my lap was a good idea. Drill bit went through the plywood and caught my pants in a .....sensitive area. Drill had no reverse on it. Nothing quite like unwrapping your jewel holder from around a drill bit. :-/

Re: Got my first good bite

Just to add to the silly injury list, DONT turn to talk to your kids about knife safety whilst chopping veg with a 12" chefs knife!! Thankfully i have really thick fingernails (due to my meds) so i didnt lose the top of my thumb but did need wife to helP remove knife from thumbnail (it went in the side of the nail about halfway down the nail and got stuck)

Re: Got my first good bite

I'll add to the silly injury list. When I was really little I made some homemade Dr. Pepper Popsicles. I took one out and decided I only wanted half of it, so I tried to cut it in half with a pair of scissors. Long story short, the scissors slipped off the Popsicle and cut my finger something fierce. Now every time I look at my hand, I am reminded of me not thinking that one through.

Re: Got my first good bite

I've got a couple good ones over the years with these pesky migraines. I really should not handle knives or machinery, hot fluids or anything of the sort, but I gotta live after all.

I've sliced my hand open trying to cut a piece of cheese for my sandwich. I've poured a pot of spaghetti the wrong direction trying to drain it into the strainer in the sink, dumping hot water all over myself on more than one occasion. Countless walking onto walls and corners of walls, tripping on nothing, and those sorts of things. LOL. My brain just doesn't seem to work right most days.

I better be careful to pick a good time of day to feed the new T's that I am alert and at my best. I did good today, silly hubby was lucky he didn't get tagged. He was poking a clump of peat next to the web trying to see where the cricket went, I told him I bet that's where the T is. Sure enough it was!
