Isaac's Ark Third breeding project comes full circle
Here are the results to our Hypo Hog project a humble litter but it still graces the room with its presence so we will welcome it with open arms.
Enjoy! The available page will be up and running soon

CongraTulations.
I'm no boa guy, but that's a tiny litter, right? I'm under the impression that healthy, mature females birth 20+ babies.

Re: Isaac's Ark Third breeding project comes full circle
The size of boa litters depend largely on weather or not the female releases enough ova's to be fertilized. The litter above gave us 3 slugs and 1 still born and 9 babies 3 ova's did not get fertilized so they cam out as slugs similar to ball pythons that just slug out with infertile eggs. Another project of our gave us 35 babies and 1 slug as seen here in the breeding results of another pairing we put together. This year
http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/boa-c...ll-circle.html
We have also seen animals in great condition breed strong all year and slug out 18 slugs 2 still borne and 1 baby.

This project held such promise 100% Het Albino Female Anery Poss Het Albino both well fed cycled and everything such a devastating blow especially when we saw the still born albino the genetics proved out we just had a hard season in some cages our Pastel Jungles did not even give us slugs the breeding never took in the first place. What sucks about breeding boas is you wait much longer to discover your failures. We chose to work with boas simply because even with small litters we see greater numbers in our baby racks with fewer projects on the go. So we will rebuild our projects and give the required breaks to the females that need it and look to the brighter day. Breeding boas is always a crap shoot we just hope that when we get small litters that we learn something and that the babies are healthy and if the babies hold a market value well then that is cool too.
