Re: Wild life or pets?

He's a Florida racer. Coluber constrictor priapus

Nothern Black Racers are Coluber constrictor constrictor

However they are nearly identical.

Re: Wild life or pets?

When i got my first snake i was really excited about handling it and more than likely i over handled it. Over time with experinece and reasearch and owning more snakes it made me realise that even tho they are my "pets" they shouldn't be handled regularly and should be respected for what they are. Now i tend to handle each one probably once or twice a month and no more. My GTP is one of my favourites and yet he is almost never handled at all as GTP's are too fragile to be handled often and do much better with little or no handling at all.

At the end of the day we all have to judge our own reptiles reactions and hope that what we do doesnt affect their life and lengevity in an adverse way

Ok, I have to say it. For a 13 year old you write and express yourself extremely well. Your sentence structure and grammar beats some of the adults in here. Whatever you do, keep it up, you're awesome!
