Anyone live in Brampton?
Well unfortunately, I live in Brampton, Ontario. The unfortunate thing is that we are not allow to keep any pythons or boa constrictors in our city. When I was looking to find out why this law was put in place, I was told it was because THIRTY years ago, a man was killed by his adult burmese. Personally, I think this law is a crack of $#!T !! Well I really want to start breeding and keeping such snakes, but am halted because of the ridiculous bylaw. So what I was thinking is if anyone else in brampton has the same feelings as I do, we could possibly start a petition and try to get this law scrapped.

Whoa that is even bigger of a crock of ****. Two feet, that really sucks. Right there cancels out any pythons or boas...

This might be some good news for you....
There is a group of people trying to change the law in Brampton to match Toronto's(no snakes over 3 metres). Josh from Reptilia is one of the main guys involved. Call him if you are looking for any further info....

That cancels out nearly EVERY adult snake.
The law isn't enforced but it's still there. Just be careful who you tell because you never know what person is gonna get all freaked out and call animal control because you have a big bad python.

That's not very responsible, for a number of reasons. 1) Should you get caught (not hard, there's nosy neighbours everywhere) your animal will be confinscated and destroyed. 2) Your actions reflect badly on the rest of reptile community. 3) Even if you don't get caught, you are doing nothing to fight the unjust law.
Basicly the way I see it, you either fight to get the law changed or move to somewhere where the laws are more favourable.
