Re: lots of rat pics
What are those veggies and such you are feeding them? I wish my girls would eat their veggies like yours are doing!

Re: lots of rat pics
i mixed them up some spinach salad and mixed greens, (usually some apple slices but i didn't have an apple today) some raspberries, some orange pieces and some carrots. they have a feeding frenzy when i put all that stuff in.
it's funny.....i took those pictures and made this post earlier tonight before going out to my friends. i come back to 16 squeaking pinkies
they look a little bit smaller then the first litter, but that's probably because there are 4 more babies this time.
i knew she was going to pop soon.

Re: lots of rat pics
Edmonton has a law against rats? I was there last summer and my friend had like 60 in his basement =/ (sells them to friends as pet food)

Re: lots of rat pics
Oh new babies!!! Feeders or not I always get excited about baby rodents. They are sooo cute! Congrats on such a big litter! You may still lose one or two due to the large size. Good mom or not there are usually weaker pinkies that just can't get to mom's teet.
How many albinos are you going to keep before you have enough? LOL I can just imagine you with 20+ albino rats cause you can't stand to use them as feeders.

Re: lots of rat pics
Ha ha okay. When I bred mice for other people a long while ago I couldn't bring myself to sell off ones that had spotted coats. The mom was a great producer of babies and every once and a while she would produce a brown and black speckled baby. In the end I had nearly 10 of these mice and no room to really keep them properly! That was when I stopped breeding mice all together and found everyone new non-feed you to my snake homes.
