Nice! Do you know how old the house is? And do you have a snake room picked out? And if your friends are painting while you are at work, I hope you didn't leave TOO much beer in the fridge.

Re: A progression thread of a different kind...
have you heard of any stories about your new house being haunted? that would be cool. or you could just make up a story to freak the wife out.

Looks real nice. Can't wait to see pics of your snake room once you get them moved in.

UPDATE****** * i will take better pics too, now that i have lights in my house... lol*
Well, about 1.5 months later after the last post... the pics is finally done, and we are moved in... we still need to unpack some stuff, and organize but we are in. we got hard wood floors all in, tiles, done, and carpet is laid. i need to take some good pics to show everything off, all that is left to do is paint some door trim that just got put in since we needed a new door, and the backsplash in the kitchen... here is a couple pics though!!
^^^ bathroom ^^^
^^^ dining room ^^^
^^^ Living room^^^
^^^ Upstairs hall/rooms ^^^
thats it for now, but i will take more tomorrow on my day off.. i will also put up wedding pics, and honey moon pics. while we were on the honey moon, our families moved us in

Re: A progression thread of a different kind...
congratulations on getting your first home together,i say home because that is what your now making it into
it was a house
its a pretty nice looking big place you got yourselves
my wife and i had a bottom flat in a building that contained 6 flats
waynes been to the uk and seen how we live in big long walls with doors in them (its pretty grim )
whats the american equivilant of a block of 6 flats mate ?
your new place looks like a wee dream come true
just being nosey, but have you set a date for your wedding ?
i hope you both spend many happy years in there
all the best with the moving (i hate the hassle of moving house )
cheers shaun

Re: A progression thread of a different kind...
Great house and great potential. Do you have a sump pump for the basement? You can put water sealant on the floor and walls to protect the foundation. Water has tremendous pressure and can easily crack walls. Also, make sure you clean the mold because that get picked up by the air vents.
Don't let me scare you. This is a great lil house and you will have lots of fun with it. Congratulations!

If they are on top of each other then it would be called a high-rise with apartments or condos in it, but if they are next to each other then they are called Town-houses.
And if they're on one level inside a building then that's called a Motel.
