I guess my thoughts are, it doesn't really matter to me how intelligent snakes are. They seem to be all action/reaction, and I am okay with that. They do seem to adjust to their environments, cage conditions, feeding, handling etc. But that could be biological. A snake may lack the enlarged cerebral hemispheres, that control the ability to learn, but who's to say that a snakes brain is not wired differently than a human, or mammal, or birds brain? Like I said, only the snake knows, and he ain't talking.
