Talking Kimo, my Argentine B/W

It's a snake forum, but what the hell, I can't help showing everyone my favorite little guy!

Kimo (short for Kimosabi) was born August 18th, 2010. He arrived in an overnight box at my apartment on January 15th, 2011 at 14" long. He is now 15 1/4" long, and growing like crazy.

And a few videos:

And one from today of the curious little guy, with a bit of handling

And his house:

He is incredibly tame for only a 6.5 month old Tegu, although he does have his bad days like most. He seems to be completely comfortable with me already, especially while outside his enclosure.

Love the little guy, how can you not love that face! Haha

Beautiful lIzard, i love tegus, not owned one yet tho.

Just wondering tho, you leave your lights a heat emitter uncovered?? Our lizards regularly jump at their lights, is it not an issue with tegus?

Thanks!

The heat emitter is only on at night when he's sleeping, but yes all the lights remain uncovered. At this point in his life he can't reach them, and Tegu's are mainly terrestrial lizards so it's generally not a large issue with them.
