Fan of Crushed english walnut bedding.
So the fiancee and I were at petco the other day deciding on bedding for our albino ksb that is due to arrive in the mail soon and while we like the look of the fine grain sand for our other two KSB's it is tough to clean that stuff off your hands and I have read of snakes having irritation due to it getting under scales or ingestion, not to mention its kinda expensive. $15 for 10 lbs and we needed 2 bags for a 10 gallon.... So we were almost about to buy another 2 bags when I spotted this walnut stuff. Its super light (compared to sand), clean, and doesn't really stick to the snake or our hands. Best part was the price, $12 for a bag big enough to fill the 10 gal for the new KSB and a revamp of our Rough scales tank. He seems to like it and its much easier to dig though to find him compared to sand.
repost of the new KSB tank too.

I love the crushed walnut and so does my SB. Just make sure to let him swallow his food on a paper towel or something. Thats what I do for him in his tank.

Make that Ex fan. This stuff seems to get stuck in the kenyans mouths more than I like so I have switched them to aspen. Great for show but not for everyday it seems.

Re: Fan of Crushed english walnut bedding.
It seems when they drink water they get some stuck on the sides of there mouths and it kinda dries to them and I will have to moisten it to get it off again. This only happens with the kenyans. The rough scale doesn't have a problem though.
