It's a black silkie hen. Silkies are a really furry and super calm breed. Want one ?
Funny thing I had it roaming around with my monitor lizard... and the monitor started hunting it XD

Re: a pet chicken!?
We have a monitor (Savannah) that shows our small dogs who's boss.
I can see the lizard wanting chicken for lunch. They eat anything that moves.

Re: a pet chicken!?
LOL KFC... Nice~ Yea, I had a friend who kept a bunch of chickens until the police came by and saw the coop in her back yard. The roosters making noise didn't really help either, so they forced her to get rid of her chickens. Apparently there's some law here about keeping farm animals in the city. :l
At any rate, I was recently at an expo here and they had a tank full of baby chicks, $2.50 each. My mother just had to ask what they were for and the guy was like,"Whatever you want them to be, they can a pet, or they can be dinner!" I half way contemplated keeping one, I mean, they were so cheap, but I really couldn't father -where- I'd keep a chicken. I certainly can't have it running around our house.
I actually just watched that video and uh.. wow, that sure is random! Gorgeous chicken, though.~ I love how 'fluffed' it is. Reminds me of this one goose I really like. Its feathers are so light and airy that it can't fly.

Re: a pet chicken!?
I have a neighbour I don't like, and we are zoned agriculture, so I want some pet chickens, and some pet swine too.
Plant tall corn all around the house and use it for privacy fencing.

Re: a pet chicken!?
Love the chicken!!! Really beautiful!! I almost wish I lived somewhere I could have one without breaking the law. Had a pet turkey as a kid on my grandfather's farm, but Opa wouldn't let me keep him for very long! How does the chicken get along with your other pets?

Re: a pet chicken!?
Cute chicken. In 7th grade science class we imprinted baby chicks. I was able to bring one home over winter break. It was almost like having a child, the little bugger followed me all over the house, and woke me up all hours of the night to be fed. Years later my daughter did the same thing.
