Re: sum pics

If I had such beautiful snakes draped over me *I* would be smiling!

Re: sum pics

Nice snakes - hope you had plenty of help around when you had two of them round your neck - we dont want anymore bad publicity where someone gets killed by their own snakes..........

Re: sum pics

Do you think handling several dif species at the same time is a good idea?

Re: sum pics

I personally handle one at a time and have a good hand wash in between to endure no cross contamination should htere be mites/infection in any animal.

Re: sum pics

I cant see any real good coming out of having multiple species freely around each other. Although i have seen and heard of people housing jungles and scrubs together. This to me seemed absolutely insane, but the person doing so has never had an issue. I have been assured that both species get fed seperately and then spend some time apart. When they are apart they looked stressed almost like they miss each other. The risks far out weigh the gains in my eyes and i would never do this. I just thought it was very interesting and would share.

Re: sum pics

i have been handling them together since they were very small, i house them differently, feed them differently and clean both before they are placed back in they tanks. the boa is very docile but the other one is very active. I put the king snake on my hand just for the photo
