baby bird rescue

This poor little fella just got booted out of the nest in our yard. (Nature can be cruel, the moms just toss the runts right out)

The plan is to get it bigger and release it, It already ate 3 small worms.

When it can fly away on it's own, we will say farewell and set it free.

For now it will remain safe and sound, noisy little tweet!

Re: baby bird rescue

when i was a kid i found a crow that was hurt so i put it in a cage and was nursing it back to health, then one day i seen it standing on the water bowl taking a drink, a couple hours later i came in and it was still standing their taking a drink,.... must have been under 5 years old remember runing to my folds .. wow the bird must have been really thirsty hes been drinking for hours lol, i cried and cried when they finnaly told me it wasnt actually standing their drinking.
hes a cute little guy i was playing wow the other day and a little bird just like it flew into my house and up to my computer and hit the wall infront of me and landed behind my monitor, i picked it up it sat on my finger for about 10 min as i sat outside and then flew off in to the tree, that what i call really cool thing to happen.

Re: baby bird rescue

If the bird does not make it, I will feed it off.

No - bad idea, parasites possibilities.

Re: baby bird rescue

sorry to hear about the bird not pulling through. can't you freeze it to get rid of the parasites?
