Out of curisosity, how do export permits work with venomous snakes? Would you also need an import permit on the receiving end? (again, just curious...I don't think the boyfriend would appreciate cobras very much haha)

You couldn't legally obtain venomous snakes I think anyways Siz. You're in the GTA and the by-laws say it's a no-no. Transporting them across the boarder and trying to get them past customs would be interesting. I had some issues trying to import some ball pythons! I can't imagine what it would take to get it done legally for cobras.

Re: Adult True Indian Naja naja

I'm actually not in the GTA, I am outside it...Peterborough! Just wondering, is all I'm not sure on our bylaws regarding venomous snakes but I'm not interested in owning them anyway, haha. Come to think of it, I *believe* our only reptile bylaw is to register larger pythons and boas.. I'll look into it, I'm curious now.
Bylaws certainly don't stop people in the GTA from owning venomous snakes unfortunatley...

So Aaron, are venomous snakes supposed to be against Toronto/GTA bylaws altogether?
