Re: hello
Welcome, Bamafish! We're glad to have you join us!. What herps do you have? I've kept a variety of critters over about 30 years, but currently I have only a ball python in the reptile line (along with two dogs, two cats, and fish).

Re: hello
Hey, Newby, you have quite a nice menagerie! Years ago I used to have a rottie-lab mix--what a dog! I was the only person who was alpha to him. Now I have a golden and a mutt.

Re: hello
yeah my two rotties are big babies. one is show quality that i paid 1200 dollars for and her parents are from Italy and the other is pure German but she has bad ankles in her growth plates. i have also had a hedgehog, red rat snake(temp rescue), box turtle, ferrets, a chameleon, and a few other dogs like dalmatians and shepherds. so yeah i have a huge animal background lol. and im only 19! so anyways just give me a holler and ill help the best way i can.

Re: hello
Bamafish, you can put rocks in a big pot of water and boil them for an hour or so to kill anything on them. Branches you can put in the oven (if they'll fit) and bake at 250 deg F for a couple of hours and it'll kill whatever. Of course wash off excess dirt from either rocks or branches before boiling or baking.
Newby, sounds like you have great parents! I love animals of all kinds, too, and tried to convey that to my sons, so we have had a lot of different animals over the years--including hatching slugs!

Re: hello
yeah my parents always wanted us to learn to be responsible with animals so we had alot as kids. now that i have been on my own for almost two years(17-19) i have had several pets. it is really fun and they are my family. so i take good care of them and its cool to get to know them and see there personality. i cant wait to have a real family someday with kids of my own though. i have been thinking about mid twenties before i want to start to settle down.
