ive left him alone for a while now ive had him about a month and when i got him he was due for a feed i understood the move wight have done somthing to him so i left him alone but i treid today and nothing again should i be worried at all or should i just leave him alone and try again some other time
Most snakes that miss a feeding, that were previously eating stop because of husbandry reasons. How are you keeping the snake? Is the cage in a high traffic area of the house? How often do you handle the snake? Are you offering the prey it was eating before you got it? Is it in shed? Answering these questions would benefit us to how to answer your question.
he is in my living room hes handle about once a week no hes not in shed i dont know what else to do but wait hes also in a 10 gallon tank low and hes got a heat pad on one side of the tank and im using sand for him that came with him i was told he eats F/T hoppers ive been trying those so i think im giving him the same thing
Did you make sure the mouse was thawed all the way through? Did you ensure that the mouse was warmed up a bit before offering so the snake thinks it's more alive? Also did you move around to make it look more like an actual prey item?
yes i did make sure the mouse was good and warm and fully thawed through ive tried everything in cluding live and nothing does it make a differencr if there rats there used to or not im sure the old owner told me hopper mice but then again i could be wrong
