Aaron, thank you for reminding people to be respectful even when someone asks a question others think should be obvious. It isn't as obvious as others think when someone doesn't already know. You guys know because you've learned.

I'm saying this because, even though I've had lots of snakes, I had never had a Ball Python until June, and I went through the same thing as you about feeding it, Finn. On another forum I got flamed because I was feeding my BP hopper mice. The pet store from which I bought my BP had been feeding him one pinky a week, which didn't seem like enough to me, but I didn't know how much bigger to go. When I talked with my mice supplier, they suggested I upsize gradually to ensure the snake would take the larger animals, so I did, and got flamed. It wasn't very comforting, that's for sure!

Don't feel badly, Finn--not knowing something from the get-go has nothing to do with you being a girl. Boys don't know things without learning, either! We all have to learn somehow, and it's really nice when someone like Aaron helps us learn without trying to make us feel stupid.

Your snake is beautiful, by the way. I love his markings! Hmmm . . . maybe I need two snakes?

Re: Feeding my BRB

Just go with a single fuzzy for now. I did apologize to you Finn for calling you a "he".

Lastly, wow 300? Does anyone else think that's over paying?

Re: Feeding my BRB

I would say that $300 is a little expensive!
I think that I paid $225 for my female, and I paid $165 for my male.

Well if he was overpriced or not it doesn't really matter because he's just about the sweetest thing you'll ever meet ^.^

You're absolutely right! If you didn't mind paying the price, that is all that matters

Re: Feeding my BRB

It matters to me. It's because prices then can become inflated. It's all about the economy. It's a large ripple effect. Of course I'm saying this mostly because it's all I've been hearing about in the news and from everyone!

Re: Feeding my BRB

Ok, ok Aaron I understand what you mean. He might have been overpriced or not but it seemed like the right price for a snake like that from a pet store and besides, I didn't even have to tame him (lol, what I mean is that he was extremely docile when I bought him) So 250-300 ( they gave me a discount so he was 250 but the sign on the actual tank said 299) I'd pay the price any time and I'm going to have him for quite a while (hopefuly.) For 10-15 years, 300 is nothing. (To me)

Re: Feeding my BRB

Some people it's a lot. Depending on their own financial situations :P

250 is a whole lot more reasonable.

Re: Feeding my BRB

Thanks everyone, I gave him the biggest pinkie I have right now (getting more tomorow)
It almost had fur and whiskers (lol.) My BRB seemed pretty happy with it.
