Re: What to get?
Well the male is an anery so unless it is also 100% het for albino there will be no albinos no matter what females you buy. With an albino female you can produce regulars that are both 100% het for albino because of mom & 100% het for anery because of dad. If the anery male is bred to a reg female all you get is regs 100% het for anery. The albino female is a good project because as explained above her & the anery male will make "double hets" or "het for snow" "snow" is anery & amel (amel is a common term for albino also) combined. If you grow up & breed the double hets back to each other or mom & dad you can end up producing anerys, amels & snows & even regs that would carry a nice gene mix. Anery & amel (albino) are both recessive genes. Recessive is when regulars (hets) can carry the gene & pass it on to offspring. Mom & dad both have to either carry the gene visually or hidden (hets) in order for the babies to get the genes or show them visually. Confused yet, LOL Mark
P.S. if you buy an albino female het anery you can produce anerys the first breeding that would be het albino along with regs het for anery & albino. Or get a het anery female for the "reg" & produce anerys first round with her too. Lots of options. Best bet is to talk to breeders & see what they have available & go from there.
