i have a female ball python she is about 3 ft. circum. is about size of a bottom of a regular plastic cup. i wanted to kno, how can i tell or know when she is ready to eat a rat.
i would like her to get bigger and 2 mice aint really doing much, every other week....
There is no real reason why a ball python EVER has to ever taste a mouse. All of my hatchling balls are fed rats right out of the egg, and never look back.
I'm confused as to why you said you're feeding her every other week? If she is not full grown I would feed her every 7 to 10 days. When a snake is about 2 years old, or close to it's prescribed size. then I feed them less than that, but not until then....
