cages

I've build many. If you don't have tools what you should do is design the cage, take the measurements to Home Depot and get them to cut plywood or melamine for you. I use melamine caging, just make sure to do a good job siliconing the corners inside the cage (if you decide to use melamine)

to be honest, im not sure i would trust melamine with a snake that big.... Unless you supported it with somthing, which would be needed anyway.

melemine

Ya,I had my burms in these, my cages were, 3feet deep by 8feet long by 20inch high. I bred burms and even had 2 male do a "combat ritual" when courting the females. They threw each other against the sides and everything, so I know from experiance that melamine is fine. Oh ya my burms weren't small either, 13' males and 14 and 17' females.

Like I said you just have to make sure you silicone the corners real good.

Trust me, melamine works fine for large enclosures. You just have to design it properly. Ron.

Last time I shopped for melamine, it started at about $20 CDN for a 4X8 sheet. I bought a slightly better grade (plain white) for $30. For fancy wood-grained panels, I believe you would pay significantly more.
