Exclamation AFT fighting or Mating? Please Help

Just a quick question. How can you tell the difference between mating and fighting between AFT's? Today I noticed the one who is a male hissing and biting the tail of another, who I think is female. The one who I think is female does not fight back, but does attempt to get away. Is this normal mating, or do I have another female on my hands? There are no bite marks or anything on the female.
I've never noticed Billy Hiss like this when mating with the other females. Maybe its just that it was particulary quiet in my apartment tonight?

Here is her underbelly
