shedding problem, need help

I need advice for a shedding problem. :bugged:

I have a boa who is shedding for the first time since I got him. He is about 5 ft and is either a Cooks tree boa or an Amazon tree boa. He is shedding very patchy.

I have a humidity hide available for him and have locked him several times since he started shedding on 11/29. The hide is 100% humidty I think as with the lid fastened there is considerable condensation. I have also gently pulled off some bits that would come off.

There are still some areas that have not shed.

I would like advice on how to get the rest of the shed off.

Would soaking him help more than being in the humidity hide?

I have seen something in a pet store to put on a snake (Don't remember just what) to help the snake shed. Any experience with this?

Anything else?

I don't really have any experience with arboreal snakes but im pretty sure that advice on shedding is universal. I'd soak him and gently rub the old skin off with a soft towel ( in the water ). If you don't feel comfortable doing that you can place a rock or another object with a rougher surface in the container you're using to soak him in and more than likely he'll get it off himself.
I've never even heard of a commercially available product to help shed but Im sure if you called the store that carries it they would be able to tell you more about it.

(Btw, What i say is from my personal experience with my Milk Snake, not boa ok)

Well, I found Mirage shedding, some parts were off, He got the hardest bits to get of first, obviously the face. But there were some still left at the tail. As this is my first time ownign a snake, and a snake shedding, I rushed the process i think, I washed my hands with warm water (no soap etc.) then i pulled his skin of slowly. But if your boa has a bad temperament, then i suggest just let him/her soak in timid water, And if he doesnt not go i it or interested. Place him in it, Remembering not to drown him :P

Soaking does help, leave snake in a covered tub with warm water (not to warm or hot) for about 15 - 20 minutes check on it every few minutes. Then gently hold the snake and use other hand to roll the shed away. It works and if not comfortable with it leave a few objects in the cage for the boa to rub against after this soak, that works as well. After that always check your humidity levels when the boa is about to go it shed,regular misting helps as well.
