Hi, i bought my 1.5yr old HET albino honduran (female)for £100, so i guess that is about $200 USD, does anyone know how much these sort of milksnakes go for? because apparently, i got her for a good price- according to the seller ( he needed to sell her quickly), my questions just out of interest really,
thanks
You can get 100% het males easily for $80 US. Tri-colour ones mostly. Nice Tangerine hets may be a bit more. Those are babies as well. Adult males aren't much more unless they are super nice, but with an albino being just $350-500, some people just get albinos straight up. Unless its a REALLY nice Tangerine het. They are worth it.
Females can be more pricey because one male will do the trick for several females. That is, once a clutch of eggs is laid, they male can still be useful for that season. Not so for the female. So many breeders have 5-10 females per male.
I would pay $200US for a 100% het female of that age and size. Its a pretty good deal. But, being a HET, you always gotta trust that that's what it ACTUALLY is.
