My baby rainbow boa escaped...BUT I FOUND HER TODAY!!!

I found her in a binder not too far from her enclosure. Thanks a million for advising me to focus on that area, because I was just about to tear apart the kitchen

I really appreciate your help.
Steve

My experience is that they don't stray too far from the hiding place. I would search near there.

My advice is to block off the room that she's in and go through everything in it until you find her. In the mean time, make sure you have a large water dish out on the floor (though she still may not want to come out of hiding to use it). A juvenile BRB really needs to be in a humid environment, and I'm assuming that you don't keep your home as damp as you normally keep her cage. My female excaped once (new cage and it didn't get locked) and I spent a couple hours taking my desk and dresser apart till I found her. I will say that the last two escapes I had with small snakes (colubrid hatchlings) have not ended well. Normally I just keep looking till I find them, but the last two times I was out of town and by the time I got back, they were long gone.

Good luck and I hope you find her soon!
