Now if only my female would catch on then I'd be really happy.

But the Mr. seems to be taking to rats nice now... knock on wood!!

nice pics hope he continues eating for you, and that the female catches on aswell. Im still trying to switch mines to rats but i always seem to give in. hey wht can i do.lol.

Thanks.... yes it is very frustrating.... I would give in and give them mice always.... but this time she aint eatin until she takes a rat... unless it becomes a health issue... I also swear to never give a new Ball anything other then rats... that was a lesson learned the hard way

LOL, I have a female that took a rat last week all by herself, I hope she stays on them but if she won't eat a rat I will give her a mouse.

She is 3 yrs old and weighs just over 800g, I have yearlings that out weigh her but they are rat eaters. I spent the better part of a year trying to switch her to rats with no luck and although she never lost weight she didn't gain either and if she will eat 2 - 3 mice weekly or one small rat every 3 months I'll give her the dang mice

I do however offer the rat first and if she takes it good for me!
