Question Sand

i got 2 plated lizards and was wondering if i can use play sand for substrate?
and how one would go about cleaning it or do u just dump it in as is?
any other thoughts on a better substrate for them?
right now they have some dirty looking sand stuff id like to clean the tank in maybe a couple days if they are adjusting well to their new home

I'f u'r worried put sand in a Pan.. thin it out and put in the oven for h/r on a med temp...til the sand is nice and warm...just keep a good look on it...

I warm up my drift wood when the mites come back to HAUNT my snakes.. usually gets rid of the mite for a few months...

it works for me..... I don't know what overs do..
