Kind of frightening..

Well, a friend of mine that works at a local grocery store brought me by a present yesterday... A brazilian wandering spider (or banana spider).. Turns out it's one of the most venomous spiders in the world, and the most in south america.. This same store brought me a black widow a few months back.. Check your fruit before you buy it!! lol..Ill get some pictures up sometime if I can.

Oh crap, that freaky. Im glad i never found one of those.
And Mr_Gooch, its not like i find alot of critters at my work. I only found one tiny spider from Columbia (im guessing that, but since the bananas were from Columbia, the spider could be too) Pretty weird that it survived the trip though, since they gas the bananas when the ship comes in port. And another guy found some sort of gecko, but that one was allready dead.
Anyways, good luck with the spider and be carefull

Looks similar to spider that we took a photo of in Panama. I'll have to get the picture out and look. Good thing that I didn't get too close - lol.

My ex boyfreind's mom got stung by a scorpion looking through some produce at a supermarket in Kingsville. It was in the papers at the time and everything. This was about 10 or so years ago though. Neat find.
