On the page Marissa posted regarding the flag there is another link that provides a very good read, addressing most of the hoax arguments directly and cites other sources and links of it's own.

link:Bad Astronomy

edit: the discussion about dust thrown from the rover's wheels and it's tradjectory as evidence of a vacuum, is especially noteworthy IMO

If there isn't supposed to be wind on the moon; then why would you go to the trouble of turning on a wind machine, also known to some as FANS!!!! LOL.

Some physics here.

The moon has 1/6th the gravity of earth, and while it isn't all that stong, it's still gravity so flags won't float in air and astronauts won't just randomly float off into space, they must exert enough force to break free of the moon's gravitational pull which they're going to need alot more then just jumping around to do. To make it so a flag doesn't hang limply on the moon you need to support it, such as with a wire. You can try this for your self with a coat hanger.

There is another light source on the moon, it's called the earth, just like we can see ok at night on our lovely planet by MOONLIGHT, the earth reflects light to the moon. Now the earth being far larger then the moon (6 times it's mass) it reflects alot more light then the moon.

Stars are not bright enough to photograph. To photograph stars you need to do a long time exposure. You can try this for your self if you have a camera that allows you to lock the shutter open. You will need a tripod.

and if they didn't land on the moon.... do you suppose there'd be those who'd swear THAT was a hoax, and that they DID land on the moon, but obviously must've found something they don't want US to know about??
