sexing without probing?
Just wondering what the most reliable method of sexing without probing would be for these guys/gals?

Nothing except popping is reliable and even then if the animal is strong enough he could keep his "stuff" in, which would cause you to think everything you have is a female

When obvious sexual dimorphisms exist, I would say that is the best method. Too bad it's not too common in snakes.

Just as a side note.....careful when trying to sex snakes in the wild that don't always have complete sex dominance (i.e. partial female, mostly female with some development of male sex organs) like the Golden Lancehead Bothrops insularis. This may throw you off.

I had heard at one time that there is a tail difference (length) in these guys similar to corns etc... I can't see this in my two.. is this false or do I have two of the same sex?

Rosy Boas and Sand Boas can be reliably sexed visually. Over 99% of the time females will not have spurs present, unlike other boids in which both sexes have spurs.
