MSN Messed up?

i am having problems with my MSN messenger i cant seem to get it to work. every time i try to access it, it freezes up. is this happening to anyone else? i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but no luck.

Nope - works fine, they were doing some upgrades yesturday cause I was getting logged out alot but fine today.

This happens to my girlfriend all the time on my computer as well as her machine at work. All the other applications on both machines work fine... it is only MSN and Hotmail that behave as you observe. t tends to happen in spurts though. Still... it is not just you.

Another option is and I think it might be this because when I set up my machine a year ago it was based on this.

Windows 98 and XP (maybe all) gives you Windows Messenger and people like to download MSN messenger. These 2 conflict alot and at times usually disconnects you.

1. Click Start.
2. Click Run.
3. In the open box type RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
4. Click Ok.

This works then download MSN messenger and it will work fine, if not then that is all I can tell you.

NO!! Its not just you!! lol, its happened for some reason to all THREE comps in my house and is driving me nuts. Ive been using the first ever windows messenger as that seems to be the only one that works.
