Thumbs up Free running

Last night while flipping through channels I came across a show featuring three french men preforming a sport knowen as free running. I was completely baffeled the things they were doing were just unbelivable! They were clearing jumps that must of been 15 feet wide. It's supposde to be a new sport/disapline where people use thier bodys to jump elgantly with style from building to building, rails poles, using the city as a big playground. Maybe you've seen the nike commercial where the chicken is chasing the dude. Well thats free running. Has anyone else ever heard of it seen it? I think it's truely amazing what the human body and mind can achieve.

Heres a link with some video and pics of free runners check it out it's pretty intresting to watch.

Yeah, I saw it. I actually saw it a few months back too. Pretty amazing stuff! I wish I was even 10% as agile as those guys.

Yeah that was cool. I would have loved that when I was a crazy teen. Maybe it's better I didn't see it. LOL. I want to see more on free running. That 360 wall run over the gap is what got me more then the big jumps.

They don't have it on thier site but on the show I was watching the guys just scaled the buildings so fast and swift it was unreal I'm still speechless. I would love to learn but I suppose thier are faster forms of suicide lol:P. I'm so hooked on it I'm trying to do some more research on it, be sorta cool to see it in the olympics one day lol.

Cheers

Very cool stuff! I like the philosophy behind it, not letting cities be your prisons, but rather your playgrounds. Although I have to say, they may be agile now, but they'll have arthritic knees and wrists before they're 40!

I was going to say, these guys are going to DESTROY their joints, knees especially. Though it's pretty impressive to watch...
