Smile Which species have you bred?

What kind of herp have you bred before or attempting this season? Really were not doing it, the animals are but you get what I am saying

I have and am currently breed Skunk geckos, aka White lined geckos. I have had one hatchling and have 2 more eggs on the way, which should hatch soon

And in 2005, we hope to breed our amazon tree boa's (which are going together in a couple days) , leopard geckos, tokay geckos and eastern collard lizards

What about you guys?

Only thing ive bred are albino leopard geckos, which didnt go over to well. I also hatched out a turtle when wc female painted turtle I had randomly layed eggs.

Im planning on breeding ball pythons in the next year. I hope to breed jcp's, corns, and possibly boas way down the road.

I've never bred a thing (a side from CH green frogs). This year I am hoping for Corn Snakes, Bull Snakes, Psuedelaphe flavirufa and maybe Yellow Rats.

I've successfully bred nigerian uromastyx, AFT & leo geckos, giant madagascar day geckos and dwarf sand geckos(AKA micro geckos). I've kept all sorts of different snakes, geckos and lizards but I think I've fallen for my uromastyx! I now keep only uromastyx!

Giant Madagascar Day Geckos. Which are easy as well. That's it really. No plans for anything in the future. I may breed my fat leoard gecko girl in the future. Just because I love her and would like one of her offspring. I would consider loaning out some of my kids for breeding projects though. I'm not super interested in breeding.

I like just keeping them as pets mostly. Most of everything that I have is common and it doesn't make sense to me to breed. One day, if I kept something rare or uncomonly bred in captivity and loved the species, I would definately consider it.

In the past, I've produced leopard geckos and pictus, both of which I continue to do. I just received my first crested gecko eggs last week, so am excited about that. The big thing that I'm looking forward to is successfully producing many fat tail geckos this coming season. I have numerous females, some captive bred, some imported, that are all ready to go once I bring them and the males out of cooling. Should be an exciting year I hope.

Here are a few things I have bred.

Dendrobates azureus (blue dart frog)

Dendrobates auratus (green/black dart frog)

Dendrobates imitator (mimic dart frog) (I have only gotten eggs from the imitators so far.. no good eggs yet)

Dendrobates ventrimaculatus (I have yet to get good eggs though from these)

Bombina orientalis (Fire belly toads)

Chameleo calyptratus (veiled chams)

Lygodactylus kimhowelli (yellow headed dwarf gecko)

Ptyodactylus guttatus (fan toed gecko) (eggs still cooking)

Paroedura pictus (ocelot gecko) (eggs still cooking)

I think that is everything.. though I may be missing a few things. I have produced viable offspring from all the species I have mentioned except for the ones noted in parenthesis. I have bred hissers too, but they don't really count

I personally haven’t produced any of my own animals this year my pair of BCI are going at it, and I have a feeling one of my PTS is carrying a little something for me. I keep more out of interest in the species then for breeding purposes.

Green anoles started me off, from there I moved on to Stenodactylus petrii, S. sthenodactylus and Tropiocolotes tripolitanus. The reptile bug really hit after that. So far I've successfully bred and raised tons of leopard geckos, crested and garoyle geckos, P. pictus and Gehyra vorax. Some of the less common/trickier ones include Coleonyx brevis, C. elegans, C. mitratus, Hemidactylus mabouia, Lygodactylus capensis, L. kimhowelli. In the Day Gecko department, -- Phelsuma laticauda and P. quadriocellata, P. lineata. Some of the 'oddballs' - Platypholis/Homopholis boivini, Gekko smithii/stentor, Pachydactylus tigrinus (which are almost hatched gravid, no boasting of breeding skills with these guys Uroplatus fimbriatus, P. henkeli P. phantasticus and P. sikorae (great hatch rate, rotten survival )
Hemidactylys garnoti too, but they're parthenogenic, so there's not really anything to getting them breeding, it's almost cheating

The only lizards were the anoles and Cordylus warreni.
Frogs..... several thousand Red-eyed Tree Frogs running around are my kids. Dart frogs - Dendrobates auratus - green & black, blue & black, reticulated green, '6 Points', turqouise and bronze. D. azureus, Dendrobates tinctorius - cobalt, citronella, sipaliwini, "Patricia", "Regina" and "Powder Blue" and 2 clutches of Fire bellied toads.
No snakes.... yet
That's all I can think of right now.

Since I bought my first snake on November 1st 2001 I've produced the following,
Corn Morphs
Ball Pythons
Amazon Tree Boas
This season I'm trying the following,
Pastel Balls
Colombian BCI
Hog Island BCI (not holding my breath on this one.)
Brazilian Rainbow Boas
Amazon Tree Boas
Anery Kenyan Sand Boas.
So what have you bred and what are you trying this year? I can't wait to see how long some people list will be. Oh and Roy and Don I expect to see you post on this one too!
Cheers,
Trevor
