The harder part is spoting "accurate information".

This is really bad

Their tails are marked with bold red, with black and yellowish dots. Females have different coloration than males and a smaller head relative to the body.
Length: 3 m (max) female larger; female more colorful; sexes shaped differently; bilateral symmetry; cryptic .
Boas take a long time to reach their great circumference and weight. They grow rapidly until they approach 2-3 meters in length, then growth slows.
If the attack is in the treetops, the boa pushes off the branch with the strike. As the prey's body falls, boas throw one to three coils around the prey while they dangle from the branch with their prehensile tails.
When boas are young, they prey on small birds. As they mature, their diets shift to larger mammals.
These boas are approximately 0.7m long at birth
Oddly enough, Tree Boas are even better in water than on land.

Now thats one of the silliest research i've ever seen! Now, ATBs are some kind of watersnakes living in the trees, they throw themselves down on their prey and constrict it while falling from treetops, they can reach 2-3 meters sometimes more?!?! Females have more color than males?!?? Babies are 0.7 meters long and eat small birds?!?! What small bird is small enough for a neo ATB?!!!?!?! Now that really sucks, i hope the guy who has the site changes that...

phil.

Someone had directed me to this information page regarding Amazon Tree Boas -> http://animal.discovery.com/fansites...amazonboa.html . I was dumbfounded at the amount of completely inaccurate information, especially for an 'educational' site. I tried to include the quotes and examples from the site with correct information, but it far exceeds the 1500 limit allowed in this box. Generally, finding correct information was the challenge here, as 95% of it was false. I don't know who is responsible for putting that information out to the public, but I have no idea where they could've possibly gotten it from. It obviously was a poor, unrecognized source, and no information was cross-referenced for accuracy.

If this info is about ATBs what the hell am I keeping?

I especially liked this line under economic uses:

"Pet trade; produces fur, leather or wool; controls pest population"

Here's to the wooly, red-tailed arboreal water snake.

So do the boots make a nice squish sound when you walk. Because that would be a good thing right ?? :P

Ewww, those boots must poop like every 5 minutes if they've got the bowels of a goldfish!
