infections?

Hi alll........if you have a cut on your finger then develop an infection inside the cut.......are those bacteria considered Flagellates, Protozoans or Anaerobes. I think its Anerobes...am i right?.........also what would something like gout be? same thing?

Some of your terms need to be clarified...
I can help you with a couple of definitions off the top of my head.
First, anaerobes are anaerobic bacteria. That is they exist in an anaerobic environment; anaerobic = without oxygen. The bacteria that thrive in a wound would likely be anaerobic, however, the genus and species escape me at the moment (you could find out with an internet search).
Also, flagellates are protozoan.
The Gout really has nothing at all to do with your previous query. Gout is characterized by inadequate uric-acid metabolism. As a result, uric acid precipitates out of the blood stream and crystallizes. The Gout is very painful because these uric acid crystals tend to form in the joints causing inflammation.

so if a savannah lost a toe due to humid conditions (before me) and now 2 months later his foot is all swollen.....would that be an anaerobic infection?
