Mini-rack!

Here are some pics of a mini-rack that I built. Specifically for hatchlings. I may sell this one at the TARAS show this weekend, not sure yet:

The electrical is well concealed, as is the dimmer. Kind of a nice little feature.

That's a single piece of 11" heat tape on the back, to give you an idea of the small scale. I think the whole rack is 16" tall, and only about 20" long. It was fun to build, and cheap too - I think in total it uses half a sheet of melamine. The electrical was more expensive than the structural.

Thanks for looking.

Looks good!

Are you planning to insulate the back?

p.s. Nice heat tape!

Very nice job Ken. I dont think you should sell it but fill it with even more snakes. Im sure you will support that idea.

Oh, it's full right now. But I can use the profits to, I dunno... pay Cranny for the heat tape! lol

Cranny, yes, the back will be insulated, I'm thinking with pegboard so it can "breathe" a little.

Looks great, well done! One question though, how are the top 3 tubs heated?

Oh sorry, i see now. Looked like the flexwatt was only behind the 2 bottom shelves, but now i see that it is actually about half way up the top shelf too. Take care.

Dan.
