Thumbs up BOAS - now this is color!

Hi there everyone:

It’s been awhile since I posted new photos of some of our gems at my facility and today had the camera charged with juice to start a small photo shot on some boas. All these boas are CB, eating frozen thawed jumbo mice to small rats every week. With every meal and shed these guys just get better and better in vibrant colors. There patterns are just pulling through as well and they are over all healthy and great boas.

Starting off with my keeper Colombian Boa from my 2004 Cleo litter is Saturn my partial laddertail boa, the only 1 of 3 who has the best pattern. This look on his tail was not expected but a welcome feature to see with future breeding if it’s genetic at all. Both sire /dam show no sign of the tail pattern but I kept it with 2 others as my keepers.

Next is 1 of 3 Anerythristic Boas. This is Anubis our male with loads of color, I mean color and pattern add pluses. Overall a great color that ends in grey and blacks, very clean looking, and the pattern is more than expected almost fully connected and the plus are he is almost fully striped on the sides, normally when you see diamond patterns he is striped. Attitude wise well you can have this many boas with out a few with bad leave me alone attitudes. He is a charmer with the threatening hissing but has calmed down alot. His sisters already calmed down and he was the quite one before, lol.

:firestart

Bastet is our next Anerythristic Boa, a sister to Anubis and a great looker with same overall look to big brother. Crisp patterns and super clean overall look with a bright majestic tail. I recently saw some killer adult Anerythristic boas in the USA and her and her sister will match those very soon once adults. After studying there look to these adults and getting photos of when they were babies my 3 will be competitors.

Here comes Isis. When I saw her in the shipping box I said "good golly, I got me some screamers"....lol. I would never complain on these 3 they meet my standards and blew me away by far. She is like the other 2 with overall great pattern, super clean, and just saying go ahead take a photo I' m worth it.....lol. She loves her jumbo mice and has now fallen in love with her small rats. She is more than ready on feeding day. Most boas after getting 1 good size portion of food show second thinking but she wouldn’t' t she is on the same schedule as most of my boas, but I know she would want seconds easily.

Now close those doors turn down the lights in your computer room and don' t look directly into the screen cause this boy with blind yah. After a few photo sessions and hundreds of photos I finally got Nacon at his best. Its been hard to take photos of him as he really is but this time I got it. No glare no fuzziness.....just vibrant true color finally. Well here is Nacon a top of the line Salmon boa in my books, there are lots of others but most are in USA. Nacon is so tame which is great cause I can' t get enough of watching him day by day. He has alot of qualities that can term him as a Super but I will get him dating soon enough to see what he holds genetically for our facility.

:jawdrop:

Well folks thank you all for viewing, questions and comments are welcome.

Cya...

Tony

Hi Tony,

You have some very nice looking boas there. I really like the way Nacon looks very clean pattern.
Good luck with your breeding projects.

Take care,
