Aww, poor Nina! Zoo officials should have put better planning into the enclosures these two would be in... and perhaps if they were together in the first place this never would have happened; but people make mistakes. It's sad that such a great animal had to suffer a preventable death. Thanks for sharing this story! =/

How horrible. Obviously she wanted to be in his cage, wonder if there was a reason they were keeping them separated, I don't know a lot about monitors. Hopefully other zoos can learn from this and keep it from happening again.

its sad this had to happen. Some guy with a suit and tie had a great money making skeem for the zoo. To bad 90 percent of the so called experts dont have a clue...........
