Ever see a southern belle?
Here's one! Bad pic of a beautiful snake. She's an albino (w.c. neonate) southern black racer.

Believe me --normals look nothing like this! They are gray with brown/red pattern of blotches or saddles along the length. I know of no others right now, though I have heard of them before.

Crimsonking,
My uncle and I went out to Crosby Texas earlier this year and found a 16inch Southern Black Racer. According to the Texas Snake books C.c Priapus only appear in Tx around the Texas/Arkansas border.Quite a bit away form Houston and Crosby. We had the sight documented by James Dixon the author of the book. There not very nice snakes . They are very pretty though. Great picture.

Very cool, Scott. Yeah, most are quite nippy (as is this one). She's obviously this year's hatch and only maybe 8-9 weks old. In my exp. they lay/hatch earlier,so maybe even from 2nd clutch. Found in a pretty much rural setting in the middle of town. I need to find out exactly where!

Mark, I've got you to say, you are really lucky to be working with such a morph, too bad it's going to take so long before they'll be more around. Very nice!!

Wonder how it's gonna look like once it matures. Normals lose the blotching and get covered in melanin. Very interesting Mark! Man I wish I had my black masked racers now.
