Alcohol works better than vinegar. Do not use rubbing alcohol, use some drinking alcohol like vodka. How many of us have the opportunity to get that spray bottle when Godzilla bites and coils around us? Hmmm.......There's the other advantage of vodka: if you can't use it to have it release its bite, it yet will help make you feel better after lol

As and when you use alcohol, make sure the snake's face is facing downwards to prevent swallowing, you don't want to fight with a drunk snake! One or two drops should be enough for the snake, and a few gulps should be enough for you lol. If it coils around you, work from the tail, much easier than working from the head. I hope this helps.

I've used hot water to get snakes get off me before... It's pretty simple but it's not always easy to be near a hot water source when you're being coiled by a large snake!!! In fact, the water i use is just warm, not boiling hot ( i never hurt the animals doing so, they just get pretty surprised and let go ). I have to say i love the idea of the open bar beside your snake's enclosure... Whenever you get bit and coiled, you have choice and you can even mix up some drink for you and your snake, hehe!
