the snake in that picture is lampropeltis pyromelana. i have never heard it referred to as a candy cane kingsnake. most people call them mountain kings or pyros.

It is also possible that the snake is some type of hybrid. Names like candy cane king and clown king have been used to designate some of the colorful snakes that arise when different species are mixed. One of the disadvantages of people using colorful names to indicate what a snake is rather than relying on the scientific genus and species name. You might want to claify with the owner exactly what species they are selling under that name (and be aware that they may not actually know - even if they sound sure when they tell you.)

Thunder named it already & it could amybe even be a knoblochi. I hate people that make up names for things because they think it will be cool or easier to market. Call it what it is & everyone will always know. It could be an Arizona, Tarahumara or Chihuahua Mtn. King as well as a few others, but definitely a L. Pyromelana of some sort I'd say. Mark
