Of course not. That's your design. I was just thanking you for posting it. I'd never seen a bp tat before. Tats are unique, and if someone copied any of mine I'd be pissed. It actually sucks that you think I would copy it, but whatever....... it's a nice tat.

Sorry!! I opologize Dave. I just didnt understand what you ment.
You can see in my lion tatto...which is a cover up... a black panther in his main. I got it coverd up because a guy friend of mine got the same one in the same place and thought it was SO cool that we had the same one!!! OMG!! I was not happy about it to say the least. I was happy when I had the opportunity to cove it up.
So, sorry again Dave... Take care

Hey, great tats everyone!

Teresa, Tim and I will only get our work done at Genesis. Rob is a genius with the ink! His wife, Jeannette, is also very talented. They were still in the home studio when you got that done, right? They have since gotten retail space and share it with a piercing artist.

I hope to get some more work done very soon, hopefully by the end of the summer. The only problem is trying to stay out of the sun here, and with this killer heat I don't know if I can do it just yet! lol There are a few designs I'd like on my back, and a partial sleeve. Guess we'll have to see.

Julie

Black Panthers are standard old school flash & there are probably 1000's of people with them on their shoulders, easily. I have personally saw 100's on people. Just another reason never to get "Flash" tattoed on you & always go custom. When I was a teenager I saw one buddy I know do dozens of the exact same designs on people & quite often in the same spots. My one buddy flipped when his little bro showed up with the exact same Tatty in the exact same spot at a party one night LOL Practice makes perfect eh, LOL Mark
P.S. Custom, Custom , Custom & go big or stay home!!!! IMHO

well i've done it again...thanks to Jugheads recommendation...I originally planned on getting a tattoo designed for a friend...which i did but i was so pleased with the this artists haida art that I had a bat designed for me....
the first pic is a preliminary drawing which to my surprise he only used as a guideline....he drew the tattoo freehand onto my back.
haha...this tat was supposed to cover my neck only....guess we went a little overboard...but i'm pleased so far...and can't wait to have it completed...

Looks good Yve! Funny you should revive this thread just as I'm finishing "shedding" from the touch ups on my leg after being "socked out". I'll have to get some pics up also. Is your piece going to be just blackwork or the black/red or what? Looks nice so far, Mark

Yve, I'm super glad that your happy with Dr. Rob's work I'm always quick to send people to him as he is an amazing artist and a stellar guy to deal with... Your bat that I'm guessing he is working on for you is killer for sure... be sure to post pics of the finished product as I would love to see them... Also if you could do me a favour and tell Rob that Jason will be in to see him soon to get some work done as it's been way tooooooooo long that would be killer...

Cheers!!!!

thanks guys....

Linds, I figured why set boundaries for artistic ingenuity...
Boundaries...heh..yah....they are being easily broken down with a sharp needle and a skilled hand...hehe

Jason, I'll be posting pics of the finished product..indeed.
I'm getting it finished next Saturday night...I can't wait...feel like a kid in a candy store
I'll certainly give Rob a heads up that you'll be in to see him..

Mark, if you look at the drawing..you'll see two haida creatures...the bat and in his belly a mosquito....Rob's doing the mosquito in red and the bat with blue. The mosquito was a surprise for me...I had no idea he was adding it to the work but it adds to the significance of the tattoo in relation to my life. So I'm very pleased he included it in the design.

Man AWESOME tattoos guys!!!! I wish i could have 1 or 2 tattoos or my whole body tatood but........ im scared of needles and im horrible with pain! I'd be crying the whole way through Maybe I will get one, one day but not any time soon. I wouldnt go to any little tattoo parlours because I wouldnt trust them with cleaning. I may be a wimp but I dont care!
