field collecting license

Hi, to my understand to legally collect wild animals you need a field collectors license, correct?? If so does anybody know how I would go about obtaining this.

Depending on the species, you will need either a small game hunting licence or a licence to collect specially protected or game wildlife -- the latter is much harder to get.
