Question MV Bulbs

i'm looking into using some MV bulbs for my setups but it seems like i'm running into some horror stories about them. people that have used them, can you give me some pros and cons, and some personal experiences about them? they will be used for ambilobe panthers.

I have used the repti sun MV on some of my chams i bought 3 bulbs over a period of time all dident last long at all they would burn out or the bulb would detatch from the fixture. But i loved the results i got chams never looked better then when they had those blulbs on them and had good success raising babies with them too. I have heard they have gotten much better and they do have warentees on them (just a pain to acually send in). So thats my experience with them i think i would be still using them if my current cage setup would allow (i have no celing space no room lol). my 2 cents

ya thats why i didnt bother before, 250 watts will fry my chameleons. But there like 30 bucks a bulb. Ive used it for my other lizard before, and ive had it for a few years now. What i find is that the other bulbs like Day Glo NeodrymiumDaylight Lamp stuff dies out pretty fast, but this is off topic lol
