Dents in the eye

Has anyone else noticed dents in the eyes of your boa? Not the actual eye, but the protective dome. I've seen this a couple of times in my snakes eyes and each time it somehow repairs itself.

Anyone know it's causes and how to prevent this?

Steve

I have heard that this can be caused by dehydration, make sure he has water and is drinkin it and by the next shed from what i have heard this problem will go away if he stays properly hydrated

good luck

That's very common.... nothing to worry about.
They get that mostly from pushing and rubbing in the cage. Low humidities can aggrivate it by preventing "bounce back" but it happens alot even under ideal conditions.
It should disappear each shed, but likely will reappear. This happens to many snakes,Boas Pythons and colubrids

No harm done then. That's pretty much what I thought...

Anyways, thanks for the help.
