I do believe you are looking for Malaysian Blood pythons. I'm pretty sure there are no boas in Malaysia. As for pics i will try to post some later.

Yeah, there are no boas native to Malaysia. Perhaps you are thinking of pythons? There are 3 species: Bloods, Burms and Retics.

There are several genera of pythons, especially after their classification was revised in 1993 and a few species taken from the genus Liasis (Water Pythons) and given their own genera take a look. http://www.nafcon.dircon.co.uk/pythons.html

Ahh, I misunderstood your post, I thought you meant that there are more than 3 species of pythons native to Malaysia.

Charlie, sorry to hijack your post. If you could post a description of the snake you are looking for, I am sure that someone will be able to identify the snake you are thinking of.

Sorry....but there are way more than 7 species of pythons....perhaps you meant GENUS? And what does this have to do with the topic at hand? Charlie was asking about Malaysian Boas.....Edwin told him there aren't any.
