Blood went crazy
Ever got a blood that went from totaly tame to completly insane???
I heard some noise about 1 hour after the light shut down and I saw he made a big mess. I took him out to clean that and he literally jump on me, twice! Then I put him in and empty tank and he was snapping trought the glass like mad! He almost got me when I pick him up, snap another few time then calm down when I hold him. A last one when I closed the glass door of his tank... He still looks really nervous, breathing heavily, ready to strike. I really don't know what happen!!!
I've check him carefully cause I was afraid he hurt himself (even if it can't happen, exept maybe if he fall from the top of his waterbowl but he seems fine. I'm gonna look at him tomorow.
Wow, that liltle guy is powerfull at 4 ft, I hope it'll not happen that often...

Jez,
I've had this happen a few times, especially with my yellow female.
at one time she was my nicest, but after seeing her lash out a few times, i learned that even the nice ones have there bad days.
Guess this is why ppl say that u should never trust a snake, no matter how tame it seems to be.
Hope hes not hurt.

Thanks alots Grant for your answer.
I was really worried yesterday when I saw him like that. He's still nervous this morning but in perfect shape. He just doing this "twisting body" thing when I reach him but act as usual when I hold him.
Probably just a bad day as you said!
One last question, ever notice a change in you blood temper during the breeding season? It's gonna stard soon and I'm just wondering if it could affect their bahavior in some ways.

I've had the same happen to me ..
My blood (only about 20 inches) is puppy tamed but one day, he was just plain vicious bitting at me like htere was no tomorow .. now he is still puppy tamed .. This is very akward, causee Out of all my pythons, python curtus are is the only one to have had these so called "bad days"...
As for the Linds thing .. lol I find that funny, the only time I can handle my rock without being vicious is when he is in a full blown shed ..
All snakes have their own personality..

I think I found why he was so grumpy. I may have disturbing him. Yesterday I found a huge poop in his water bowl. I guess he want to be alone to do that kind of thing!
Thanks for your imput everyone!

Give that boy some privacy, heh. Maybe you embarassed him.
Or maybe he was constipated, I'm sure that doesn't make anyone happy.
