Peat moss for a moist hide?

Could I use some peat moss in a hide for my BRB? If not, why?

Thanks

Hey, I've used peat for my moist hides for my burm , ball, and boa, without any problems, so I would assume it would be okay for a brb , but, I have noticed that as the water in the peat evaporates the peat goes into the air with it, as dust this didn’t seem too bother my snakes at all but it did irritate my eyes and sometimes my breathing, so I switched too paper towel cheap and inexpensive. Good luck

I found that it makes a mess as it clings onto the snake sometimes, and shredding newspaper is much cheaper and easier to replace when cleaning.
