mulberry tree

I had just recently bought 100 mid. size silkworms. My mom gets a plant catalog every year or so and I found a mulberry tree for sell. They are selling a Hardy Mulberry tree, this one produces blackish-purple berrys. My question is can I swich the worms to the leaf diet? Currently I am feeding them on the mixture. Would a different type of mulberry tree be better? I can also buy a Red Mulberry tree... The hardy is about 18 inches and the red is three years good. hehe same price.....
