You do know that the male is a Red Blood and the Female is a Borneo Blood, right? Just curious, because I'm not really in favor hybridizing the 2 locales.

David, if you look closely, you'll see that the female is not a Borneo. She's simply a lighter animal, with more yellow undertones than red, but definitely a brongersmai. "Red" bloods can actually vary from light yellow to dark brown in coloration, just for perspective.

I stand corrected! Thanks for pointing that out, Kara. I was not aware that they varied so much.

No worries man...that's just one of the joys of bloods...they come in so many "normal" colors.

And not just within the species. Those two animals could have come from the same clutch, that's how much bloods can vary.

Seeing bloods hatch can be quite the colorful spectacle. These ones in particular are SWEET, especially that male. That's going to be one bright screamer when it matures.

That male blood is amazing. I just recently got a blood too. But is there anyways of telling what type of colouring they will have as adults from their colouring as babies ???
