YAY!!!!!!!! Its so cute. It is a fire morf and it is 1 1/2 months old. It is exploring its new home! It was pretty jumpy when i put it in. Just a quick question, how many crickets will this little guy/girl eat in a day?

Ill put up some pictures when i get the chance!

thanks,

I would keep at least 4 to 6 in the tank at a time.

right now it hasnt eaten any.... I dont know when he will start... and i wont be able to see him eat him eat anyway because of all the dense foliage in my cage. He would be doing it at night cause thats when he climbs around (during the day he lies down in a plant pot). How will i tell if he does? soon after i put the crickets in, they ran away and i cant find them.

Maybe there is too much foilage and your crestie cant find the crix. Theres a good chance that you wont see your crestie eat, they are shy eaters, at least in my experience they are. Try to leave the floor of the enclosure free of debris. It is also possible that your cresties has not settled in yet. Good luck and keep us posted!!!!

i use a red light at night. it keeps the temp up to at least 70 and i can watch them eat. it may take a while for him to figure out how to catch them, but he'll get the hang of it. also you could leave some babyfood in a small lid for him, just in case..

I wouldn't worry about not seeing him eat as he was quite chubby when you picked him up as lone as he looks nice and full chances are he tracked down those crickets. Try to post a picture. Thanks Doug.
